JAZZ

Narelle
Aspinall's "Capricorn School of Dancing" teaches Jazz/Modern
based on the Federal Association of Teachers of Dancing (Australia) Syllabus.
This
style of dance is an energetic style with the emphasis of body isolations
and varied rhythmical dance to popular modern music. Focus is also placed
on Strength, Flexibility and Co-ordination.
The
"Capricorn School of Dancing" enters students in solo, duo/trio
and group events in The Rockhampton and Biloela Eisteddfods and students
can also sit for the annual FATD Modern Jazz Examinations in October each
year.
It
is preferred all students, attending jazz class, also attend one ballet
class per week, so that the focus can then placed on combination of both
technique and flexibility.
Students
are selected to undergo examinations, once they have reached the set
technical requirements for the appropriate level. It is expected that
students sitting for their examinations will attend one normal jazz class
per week and in the lead up to the exams extra examination class.
